Data - and why its KING
Are you a good driver or bad driver ?
How do you know?
What are you good and bad at?
Do you remember what you scored on your driving test ? What did you score poorly on and have you been working to improve it since then??
The current driving training and testing process worldwide is ....... subjective.....at best. In Ireland for example the pass rate for the driving test is ~50% but its 30% in some areas and 70% in others ??
This can not be fully explained.
Most countries have an arbitary number of hours of practice you need to do before you can take a test. But in reality some people could pass a test after 4 hours and other need 40 - but we have a one size fits all approach. Too many people sitting tests are nowhere near ready.... but we have no data.
With standardised data such as reaction times, road positioning, hands positioning, mirror checking, speed maintenance, braking late/early, performace in rain, perfomance at night, perfomance in urban environments etc. we help highlight to drivers specific areas they need to work on. This data carries with you after you pass your test.
Today you pass a test at 17 years of age and dont have any further checks on your driving for 60 years or more!
With Data and our simulators you can practice and improve even after you have your licence - this could be used to bring down your insurance cost.
Our Simulators can be used in public places such as universities where the highest risk drivers could improve even after they have their licences. The drivers would benefit from lower insurance costs and society benefits from less road accidents and deaths. Government should fund the cost of this
